3rd place in the 2010 Connecticut Cake Competition LIVE cake challenge!

Here I am with teammate, Becky Rink and our pop-up tree house book cake for the "Child's Play" theme competition.


This is a close up view of the front and back of my "Secret Garden" cake. Everything is edible. It won second place at "The Art Of The Cake" show in Middlesburg, Ohio, 2010.

Two photos of a cake I created for the "Chocolatefest" competition in Hershey, 2005.

The theme of the show was "Love and Chocolate". The cake was a rectangular shaped devil's food cake. I decided to do the death scene as opposed to the ever popular "balcony scene". I draped the fondant to cover the cake and sculpted Romeo and Juliet  from fondant as well. You might notice something in Romeo's hand. I placed a tiny Hershey's kiss in the palm of his hand and the quote "With this kiss I die." is painted on the base (which I also covered with marbelized fondant) using gold luster dust.

This cake won second place for "Best in Theme"
